Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 23, 2026

Badminton Scoreboard & Counter(the "App") is made by Norelabs ("we", "us"). We built the App to keep your data where it belongs — on your devices. This policy explains what the App collects, what it doesn't, and the few third parties involved. It applies to the App only; the norelabs.com website has its own privacy policy.

No account, ever

The App has no sign-up and no login. We never ask for your name, email, or phone number. We do not build a profile of you and we do not sell, rent, or trade any data.

Your matches stay on your device

Your matches, scores, presets, players, and statistics are stored locally on your Apple Watch and iPhone. If you have iCloud enabled, Apple may sync this data between your own devices through your private iCloud account — we never see it and it is never sent to our servers. Deleting the App removes this data from the device.

Analytics — Google Analytics

To understand how the App is used and where to improve it, we collect anonymous, aggregated usage data through Google Analytics for Firebase — for example, which screens are opened, whether a match was completed, app version, device model, operating system, and approximate (country/region-level) location derived from your IP address. This data is not used to identify you personally. You can opt out inside the App under Settings → Privacy.

Purchases — RevenueCat

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled by Apple and managed through RevenueCat, which processes purchase data on our behalf so we can unlock Pro features and restore purchases. For this, RevenueCat receives a randomly generated, anonymous app user ID plus purchase and receipt information (which product you bought, purchase and renewal dates, and device/platform details). It does not receive your name or payment card — your payment is processed entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. We never see your card details.

Apple Health

If you turn on the workout feature, the App uses Apple HealthKit to record a badminton workout and read metrics such as heart rate and active calories during a match. This health data stays on your device under Apple's protection. It is never transmitted to us, to Google, to RevenueCat, or to anyone else, and it is never used for advertising. You control this access in the iOS Health app and can revoke it at any time.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Because the App keeps your data on your device and collects only anonymous analytics, there is very little personal data for us to hold. If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you may still contact us with any request regarding your data and we will respond within a reasonable time. To delete everything the App stores, simply delete the App.

Third-party policies

The services above have their own privacy practices: Google, RevenueCat, and Apple.

Changes

We may update this policy as the App evolves. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any changes.
